Trump Xi Meet | Taiwanese People In Taipei City Speak Their Minds On Trump-Xi Summit

Taiwanese people expressed their views one day after U.S. President Donald Trump met with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping for a summit in the Chinese capital city of Beijing, where Xi warned Trump of “clashes and even conflicts” with the U.S. over Taiwan. Muya Chen, a 40-year-old interior designer in Taipei City said, “I think peace is a good thing. It is good to be able to say whatever we have to say, and to do whatever we want to do." Rosalyn Tang, a Taipei City resident retired from the financial industry said, “As for America, it is not going to benefit us all if it keeps on telling people what to do. On one hand, it extorts us to buy their weapons, and on the other, it plays a two-pronged strategy with China.”
