Telangana Assembly Clash: KTR, Harish Rao Detained Amid BRS Protest
The first day of the Telangana Assembly's Monsoon Session witnessed a major political showdown as BRS leaders KTR and Harish Rao were detained at the Assembly gates during the party's black T-shirt protest against 1,000 days of Congress rule. The Telangana High Court later directed police not to prevent BRS legislators from entering the Assembly, saying action over Assembly rules falls under the Speaker's authority. Cases have also been registered over the clash, while Chief Minister Revanth Reddy called it a "dark day for Telangana."
