Tamil Nadu Assembly Moves Resolution Against FCRA Bill, BJP Opposes

A fresh political row has erupted in the Tamil Nadu Assembly over a resolution against the FCRA Bill. Education Minister Raj Mohan moved the resolution, urging the Centre to withdraw the Bill in its present form and arguing that any amendments should uphold natural justice and federalism. The BJP opposed the resolution, while the AIADMK remained non-committal, neither supporting nor opposing it. Separately, Tamil Nadu BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan criticised the state government's anti-NEET resolution, questioning why doctors should be exempt from an entrance examination when competitive exams are held for IAS, IPS and other government jobs.
