Jharkhand Students Protests | Students Demand Systemic Reforms, Question Restrictions On Protest

Students are set to stage a Vidhan Sabha Gherao in Ranchi today, continuing their protest against alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) recruitment examinations. Jharkhand students protesting over their demands say their agitation is a fight for systemic reforms, not political power. Protesters alleged that they faced restrictions from the administration, including difficulties in setting up tents near the Assembly. They questioned why they were being stopped from protesting when, according to them, prohibitory restrictions under Section 144 were not in force. The students also warned of a massive mobilisation, urging Chief Minister Hemant Soren to understand their concerns and address their demands.
