Opposition MP Shanakiyan Rasamanickam of the Tamil National Alliance tells NDTV the violent clashes in Sri Lanka have been perpetrated by supporters of the ruling Rajapaksa family, and not anti-government protesters whose demonstrations have largely been peaceful.
