Spain Cueta Border | Spain Soldiers Escort Crying Moroccan Boy To Border Before Repatriation Halted

Spanish army escort a 12-year-old unaccompanied Moroccan boy who cried and pleaded not to be returned to Morocco. Just meters from the border, a Spanish army lieutenant colonel halted the repatriation after pressure from local residents, who said the child was a minor. The boy was then handed over to the Spanish Civil Guard. Journalists at the border also reported seeing a green military van carrying several people reverse into the border crossing. The military was understood to be returning migrants to Morocco. Spanish law says that adult migrants can apply for asylum. If rejected, they face expulsion procedures.
