As your income rises and you dream of buying that big car, the government is driving that dream out of your reach.With excise duty raised on the larger cars and SUVs, the industry feels the directive will hit all cars whose engine capacity exceeded the 1500cc limit.The models including Hyundai Verna, Chevrolet Optra, Tata Safari, Skoda Octavia, Mahindra Scorpio, Bolero and luxury vehicles like Mercedes Benz and BMW are going to have an impact due to the duty rejig.
