India's mars bound satellite or Mangalyaan has been made in a record time of 15 months, the fastest ever by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Project director Subbiah Arunan, a mechanical engineer, tells NDTV that he slept most nights in the satellite centre going home only to perform his religious duties. Speaking inside the ISRO's state-of-the-art clean room in Bangalore where the Mangalyaan was born Mr Arunan feels confident of reaching the Mars orbit as there was happy synergy in his young team.
