War and Peace (Aired: January 1995)
In this special edition of The World This Week where we look back at 1994, the one thing the year made clear was the nature of the post-Cold War era. There was the occasional glimmer of hope, though. Old enemies forgave and forgot and made new peace but the events that preceded and followed that declaration of peace were so bloody that finally, the predominant images of 1994 were of war and suffering.
