Forty-three years after the imposition of the Emergency, we look at why it's still such a political talking point. How are the lessons of the Emergency relevant today? On The NDTV Dialogues, several experts debate and discuss the impact left by the Emergency of 1975. The panel includes Lalitha Kumaramangalam of the BJP, also the director of India Foundation; Congress leader Anand Sharma, deputy leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha, and professors Dipankar Gupta and Saradindu Mukherji of the Indian Council of Historical Research.
