Triple Talaq Bill Cleared In Rajya Sabha: Is This The Collapse Of Opposition?
After two years of trying, the BJP government has finally succeeded in converting the 'Triple Talaq' criminalisation ordinance into a law. This is a big victory for the government not just because the bill is through, but because it encountered that challenge after having failed a few times in the past. There were 99 votes in favour of the bill and 84 against.
