From Satyam to Reebok, from coal to spectrum, scams, frauds and allegations of corruption rage high for India's business houses. Can India ever be corruption free? Will civil society bring about the change or do we need a change in the basic value system of this society? In this discussion, Arun Maira, member of the planning commission highlights greed and excessive aspiration for the deep-rooted malaise. Meanwhile, Rajiv Lall, VC and MD of IDFC and Kanan Dhru, founder and MD of Research Foundation for Governance in India, are optimistic that India will change slowly but surely.
