When Gunjan Upadhyay conceived, she was told her baby had a 90% chance of being born handicapped. She was advised an abortion but, supported by her husband and family, took the brave decision of keeping her baby. Her son was born normal. Across India, many mothers-to-be, like Gunjan, are faced with this most heartbreaking of decisions – to abort a foetus that may be born handicapped or not to abort?
