UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has delayed the planned relaxation of coronavirus restrictions by four weeks, until July 19, amid reports on the spread of the Delta variant. The British PM says he hopes by then, two-thirds of the population would be vaccinated. This comes at a time when many states in India, including Delhi, ease restrictions as new infections drop to the lowest since March 31. Experts have cautioned against a full reopening as India has vaccinated only about 5 percent adults with two doses, leaving millions vulnerable. Many are questioning if this is the right time to ease the curbs.
