'Many Third, Fifth Rate Films Sent to Oscars'

Veteran actor-filmmaker Amol Palekar has been appointed the Chief of the panel that selects India's entry to the Oscars. He tells us, on Agenda, that lobbying is necessary for films to win Oscars and it's stupid to expect awards, if we continue to send third and fifth rate films. We raise the question will the relationship between Indian cinema and awards always be controversial.
