The Congress has questioned the appointment of a former Supreme Court Judge, Justice S Abdul Nazeer, as Governor of Andhra Pradesh. Justice Abdul Nazeer was on the Constitution Bench that heard the controversial Ayodhya land dispute case and delivered a unanimous verdict. Legally, there may be nothing wrong with this appointment, it has happened in the past as well. But the question being raised is one of propriety. On the programme, top BJP and Congress leaders who are also lawyers among others.
