Should Judges Get Post Retirement Government Jobs?
The Congress has questioned the appointment of a former Supreme Court Judge, Justice S Abdul Nazeer, as Governor of Andhra Pradesh. Justice Abdul Nazeer was on the Constitution Bench that heard the controversial Ayodhya land dispute case and delivered a unanimous verdict. Legally, there may be nothing wrong with this appointment, it has happened in the past as well. But the question being raised is one of propriety.
