Schoolchildren are caught in the middle of protests for and against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act or CAA. Earlier, schoolchildren in Bengaluru were questioned for participating in a play against the amended citizenship law, another incident has been reported from Punjab's Baranala, where parents have accused the school management of forcing students to sign a pro-CAA banner. The parents and civil society members objected to the school authorities asking students to sign the pro-CAA banner. "The school administration should not drag students into political issues. The government should take action against them," said the parent of a student. The school principal and the management are blaming each other. The police said they are looking into the matter after getting a complaint from the police.
