Chhattisgarh Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel made a big announcement for women in the state. Chief minister announced that if his government is voted back to power in the state, women will be given an annual financial assistance of Rs 15,000 in the state.  The announcement is being seen as a counter to the opposition BJP's promise in its poll manifesto of giving Rs 12,000 per year to married women. The announcement from Chief Minister Baghel is an addition to the long list of schemes and poll promises made to women by political parties, but what about the representation of women?
