Speaking during the Budget Session, Gandhi said global dominance of the United States is under pressure from China, Russia and other forces, signalling a major shift in international power equations. He also argued that the world is moving from an era of stability to one of instability, pointing to conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza as evidence that the “era of war is over” narrative no longer holds true. Drawing on the survey’s observations about energy and finance weaponisation, Gandhi questioned whether India is prepared for the emerging global turbulence, turning the economic debate into a broader foreign policy discussion.
