Punjab Youth Stands Motionless For Hours, Sparks Drug Use Concerns

A bizarre incident from Chandigarh has taken social media by storm after a video surfaced showing a young man standing motionless for hours in Sector 33 while carrying a Blinkit delivery bag. The unusual sight caught the attention of local residents, who initially believed the youth to be a delivery worker on duty. However, his prolonged stillness raised suspicion and concern. One vigilant resident eventually alerted the police, prompting authorities to intervene and remove him from the spot. Police took the youth into custody and initiated preventive action( 107/151 Crpc). His parents were subsequently called to the police station as part of the inquiry. During the investigation, it was revealed that the young man, identified as Sunil, is a resident of Dhanas and had later been granted bail by a magistrate court. In a surprising twist, Sunil’s family clarified that he is not employed with Blinkit. Instead, the delivery bag belonged to his younger brother, who works for the company. According to his parents, Sunil had taken the bag from their roadside vegetable shop( which is being operated by his mother) where both brothers were present earlier in the day, and left without informing anyone. “He didn’t return to the shop and came back home late at night,” his mother said, adding that the family only became aware of the incident after receiving a call from the police. “We also found out then that his video had gone viral.” The family further disclosed that Sunil has been struggling with addiction and has displayed similar behavior at home in the past. #PunjabNews #ViralVideo #DrugUse #Chandigarh
