Facing criticism for failing to tackle the perennial issue of stubble burning, the Punjab government has set an ambitious goal of effectively managing the entire 19.58 million tonnes (MT) of paddy straw in 2024. The Punjab Pollution Control Board has shared an action plan with the National Green Tribunal.
