The Cycle of Love Documentary | Priyanka Chopra Jonas Premieres New Documentary 'The Cycle Of Love'

Priyanka Chopra Jonas attended the New York premiere of "The Cycle of Love." Chopra Jonas, who executive produced the documentary, spoke about the importance of bringing the remarkable true story to audiences. “Wow, I hope love resonates with everyone, right? I mean, maybe the world would be a better place," said Chopra Jonas. "I was just always fascinated with, like, doing something this insane gesture of love that sounds almost unbelievable but isn't and now 50 years later your kids are making a movie about your parents' love life which is just so poignant and such a full journey that I was just I was very excited of the opportunity to partner with them.” When asked about the similarities between her marriage and P.K.'s and Lotta, she jokingly said Nick had it easy. And she spoke of her love story. "My husband got his bride from India, and he flew probably first class, so I don't know, it's very different. He had it way easier; I think PK had to really - it took him five months to get to his lady, right?” Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Orlando von Einsiedel, the film follows P.K. Mahanandia, a young Delhi street artist who fell in love with Swedish student Lotta von Schedvin in the 1970s. Their romance led Mahanandia to embark on an extraordinary 6,000-mile bicycle journey across continents to reunite with her, risking everything in pursuit of the woman he loved. “I'm so happy today, I feel now, and people are so happy to know the story, I'm so happy that the love is the roots of humanity and people are conscious, especially now, highly needed in the world, I think, you know," Mahanandia said. Blending interviews with the real-life couple and dramatic recreations, “The Cycle of Love” tells a story of the extraordinary lengths one person will go to follow his heart. The film is set for release on August 28, and goes wider in September.
