PM Modi Lays Foundation for New Parliament Building, Opposition Calls It Wasteful

PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for a new parliament building, saying India will soon be known as the mother of democracy. The opposition said the building, which will be constructed at a cost of over Rs 900 crore is a wasteful expenditure and that the government should strengthen democracy with values, not bricks.
