Tom Latham was the lone man standing for New Zealand as India powered to a six-wicket win with 101 ball to spare in the first ODI at Dharamsala on Sunday. Opener Latham was unbeaten on 79 when New Zealand, 65 for seven at one stage, finished with 190. Latham, 10th man in the history of ODI cricket to carry his bat, rued New Zealand's poor performance on a wicket that was not unplayable. Virat Kohli's 85 not out helped India cruise to win after debutant Hardik Pandya took 3 for 31 with the new ball. The second ODI of the five-match series will be played in Delhi on October 20.
