For young Gudiya, life scripts a tale more twisted than Bollywood ever could. As a child bride, she lived with soldier husband Arif for just 10 days before he was called up. When he went missing, presumed dead, she was married to second husband Taufiq. Four years later, Arif – not dead after all but a prisoner of war – returns to claim his bride, now pregnant with Taufiq's child. The village says she must return. Gudiya lays down a condition.
