French mainstream media rarely gives voice to secular civil society and activists of the Muslims community in France. They say they are excluded from public debate and silenced as no one wants to hear of the structural racism that one part of the French population suffers from. NDTV spoke to two women who are leading voices among people of colour in France, many of whom are of Muslim-immigrant origin with roots in France's former colonies. We ask them what the fallout of the Paris attacks could be and whether the response of French authorities is aimed in the right direction.
