This year, Punjab is all set touch a new high in wheat production. According to Food Corporation of India (FCI), they are expecting to procure 140 lakh tonnes of wheat as compared to 130 lakh tonnes last year. But even with this record production, there is hardly any reason to smile; the state government and FCI is worried as there is no space to store this bumper crop.
