NDTV Indian Of The Year: Jay Shah Awarded Transformational Leader Of The Year
ICC Chairman Jay Shah returned to the stage to receive the 'Transformational Leader of the Year' award. He received the honour from Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant.
"I would like to dedicate this award to all our girls. Coach Amol Muzumdar also deserves a lot of credit for his contributions. Since 2019, we have made revolutionary changes to women's cricket. We hiked domestic fees by 700 per cent and made significant changes to the international pay structure," said Shah, highlighting the BCCI's recent measures to support the women's game.
