The Supreme Court today has charged Narendra Modi with contempt for tacitly endorsing the Sohrabuddin encounter killing. But that may become the latest weapon in Modi's propaganda armory. Already he has turned any attack on him as an attack on Gujarat. It's an old Modi strategy, which worked in 2002. But will the rhetoric of wounded Gujarati pride work this time around? Or has reality of democratic politics become bigger than Modi?
