A day after bird flu was declared in Manipur, the impact is already being felt on the streets, as chicken and duck shops in Imphal have shut down. Around 1,50,000 chickens and ducks will have to be killed in a radius of 5 km from the farm where 132 chickens had died of avian flu two weeks ago.
