"Jealous": Mamata Banerjee's Swipe After Centre's 'No' To Rome Meeting
Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee yesterday accused the centre of jealousy after the Ministry of External Affairs refused permission for her to travel to Italy for an all-faith peace meeting organised by the Community of Sant'Egidio, a Rome-based Catholic foundation. Ms Banerjee said the centre had told her the event is "not commensurate at your level".
