Iran’s judiciary chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei said the Islamic Republic does not welcome war but will not abandon its principles, values, or national honour to stop it. In a speech aired on Friday, he stressed that Iran does not fear negotiations, but will not accept coercion, threats, or dictated terms from its adversaries. His remarks came as US President Donald Trump said he was “not satisfied” with Iran’s latest proposal in talks aimed at ending the conflict between the two countries. Trump rejected the proposal soon after it was delivered through mediators in Pakistan, while the fragile three-week ceasefire between Washington and Tehran continues amid tensions over the Strait of Hormuz and global oil supply concerns.
