It was a big showpiece event at Rajpath, one that drew parallels to the grand Republic Day celebrations. Close to 36,000 people came together for a yoga session that set two Guinness Record - for the largest yoga class and for the yoga class with the most number of nationalities. The event has been touted as an example of India's ability to project soft power across the world. The event however also saw some politicking, with the Congress taking aim.
