10 Lakh Or Empty Chairs? BJP-Congress Spar Over Crowd Size At INDIA Bloc's Ramlila Rally

A political war of numbers erupted after the INDIA bloc's mega rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, with the BJP and Congress offering sharply different accounts of the turnout. BJP leader Sambit Patra questioned the opposition's claim that more than 10 lakh people attended the event. Citing visuals from the venue, Patra argued that the ground, spread across roughly 10-12 acres, had around 28,000 seats and claimed a significant portion of the venue remained vacant. According to Patra, nearly 15% of the space was occupied by the stage and security enclosures, while around 40% of the ground allegedly had neither chairs nor attendees.
