Stay on RIL gas sale lifted

A month before the gas from the deep waters of KG basin comes on stream, the Bombay High Court lifted the ban on gas sales to third party fertiliser and power plants. Mohan Parasaran, Addl Sol Gen of Government of India, said, "As a purely urgent measure, the court has modified its earlier interim order, which will enable gas to be sold in accordance with the government of India's utilisation policy and at the rate determined by the government at $4.20 per mmbtu."
