Government’s FDI push too little, too late: Azim Premji

The government's push for foreign direct investment (FDI) in multi-brand retail was not worthwhile given the acrimony and frustration it created in the opposition, Wipro chairman Azim Premji told NDTV Profit said at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. He said that while the government's recent spate of reforms, including the relaxation of FDI norms is an indication of progress that the government hopes to bring about, the steps were "too little, too late".
