In an interview with NDTV Profit on how capitalisation needs to be redefined, Mr Michael Useem and Nariman Bharvesh are of a view that Capitalism is a model that has worked very well until recently in terms of bringing people into the work flow. While it has done well to countries like India and China in terms of growth, it hasn’t really worked in US and some other nations. There are several areas that need immediate fixing- firstly the financial system is an area that needs more regulations, secondly, the distribution of income is unequal and there is a huge shortage of skilled labour and on the other the number of skilled labour is in abundance so they need to be trained. Thirdly there is a terrible tax system in the US that needs to be fixed.
