While two-wheeler companies reported decent sales numbers, four-wheelers did not perform well. Though Maruti Suzuki results were in line with expectations, Tata Motors disappointed. The tractor segment, too, did not perform up to the mark. Two-wheelers, especially, Bajaj, were driven mainly by exports, says Prayesh Jain of AVP Research.
