Philippines Ferry Fire: 5 Dead, 87 Missing Off Coron, Rescue Underway
At least five people have died and 87 remain missing after a fire broke out aboard the passenger ferry MV June Aster near Coron in the Philippines’ western Palawan province. The ferry, which had sailed from Manila, was carrying 134 people, including 117 passengers and 17 crew members, when the fire broke out on Wednesday.
