India wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after incurring an injury on Day 1 of the 4th Test against England in Manchester. Pant had to be carried off the ground in a golf cart after sustaining a foot injury while trying to reverse sweep England pacer Chris Woakes. The wicket-keeper batter has reportedly been advised to take rest for 6 weeks, meaning he would not be able to feature in the ongoing 4th Test against England or the final match of the series. The report further added that Pant has sustained a fracture which would keep him out of action for 6 weeks.
