Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan witnessed one of its deadliest militant flare-ups in years as security forces killed at least 145 militants during a 40-hour counter-operation. The operation followed a wave of coordinated gun and bomb attacks across Quetta, Kalat, Mastung and Noshki, targeting hospitals, schools, banks, markets and security installations. Nearly 50 people, including civilians and security personnel, were killed in the violence. The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the assault, while Pakistan alleged external involvement — a charge strongly denied by India. Authorities say the situation remains tense with heightened security across the province. NDTV's Muskan brings you the details.
