Outrage After Trees Cut At Night In Mumbai's Aarey Colony

Authorities in Mumbai began hacking down trees in Mumbai's Aarey Colony in the middle of the night, just hours after the Bombay High Court on Friday dismissed four petitions against the planned Metro car shed. The court said the matter was pending before the Supreme Court and the National Green Tribunal. As many as 29 people who were arrested last night have been sent to jail till Monday.
