OTP Services Delayed and Disrupted as TRAI Enforces New SMS Regulations

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Monday put a spanner in the works of multiple companies with the implementation of the second phase of SMS guidelines. The new rules saw almost an 50% hike in missed OTP messages and other transactions. Did TRAI not give enough time and information to companies, or were they slow to react to the changes proposed earlier?
