Notes Ban: How Northeast Is Faring Better Than Metros
A month ago when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the scrapping of old 500 and 1,000 rupee notes, the eight states in the Northeast were expected to suffer the most. But on the ground, the situation seems far better in the many Northeast states than it is even in the metros.
