The chilling murders of a young couple in Rohtak district of Haryana this week expose how villages in the state continue to be bound by diktats of "khap panchayats" who order such killings in the name of honour. But Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda, who is also the son of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, told NDTV that while he condemned the barbaric murders, there was no need for a separate law on dishonour killings.
