'No Food, No Help': Punjab Flood Victims Slam Govt For Neglect

North India is grappling with intense flooding triggered by relentless monsoon rains, with the IMD issuing red alerts for states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi. In Punjab, the situation is especially dire - the state is witnessing its worst flood since 1988, with over 1,300 villages submerged and around 3,000 acres of crops destroyed just ahead of harvest. Districts like Gurdaspur, Kapurthala, Fazilka, and Amritsar are among the worst hit. Residents in flood-affected towns like Ramdas in Amritsar have been forced to flee their homes, taking shelter in makeshift camps, as they endure sleepless nights and food shortages.
