Nirmala Sitharaman Speech | LS Passes Pan Masala Cess Bill; FM Says Revenue Will Be Shared
The Lok Sabha has passed the Health Security se National Security Cess Bill, 2025, introducing a new cess on pan masala to fund public health and national security. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the revenue will be shared with states, as public health is a state subject.
