Mandal 2.0: Is Bihar Caste Census A Political Tool Or The Future Of Social Justice?

Bihar has become the first state to release data from a caste-based survey and the report indicates 36 per cent of the population is from Extremely Backward Classes, 27.1 per cent are from Backward Classes, 19.7 per cent are from Scheduled Castes and 1.7 per cent are from Scheduled Tribes. While an all-party was held in Bihar on Tuesday to discuss the future course of action, the real question is whether this is a political tool or really the future of social justice.
