'Agnus of God' is a 1985 American film starring Jane Fonda and Anne Bancroft adapted from a play by the same name. It's a story of a nun who gives birth to a child and insists it is the result of a virgin conception. The premiere of the play - two decades ago in Mumbai - was called off by officials at the initial venue. On Monday, it will have its first showing at a different venue. On the Buck Stops Here Weekend Edition, we discuss: Is the ban on the play called by Catholic groups among other things a mockery of the Latin phrase - Agnus Dei (Lamb of God), a reference to Jesus Christ falling under the hurting religious sentiment law, or is it a crossing the freedom of expression line?
