'Reputation Maligned, Record Trashed': Former Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh to NDTV
Sujatha Singh, who was sacked as Foreign Secretary on Wednesday, hit out at the government in an exclusive interview to NDTV today, saying: "My reputation is being maligned, my record being trashed. Why was this necessary?" Ms Singh was removed by the government with seven months to go before retirement, and replaced by S Jaishankar, the former envoy to the US, just after a successful visit by President Barack Obama.
